ENSAFE: INSTITUTE FOR HEALTH, SAFETY & COUNSELLING TRAINING LTD (hereinafter known as “the institution”) is committed to a policy of protecting the rights and freedoms of individuals with respect to their rights as a consumer. In regards to this view, the institution follows the Trinidad and Tobago Consumer Protection and Safety ACT No. 22 of 1998. This Act protects the rights of the consumer/client and ensures that they are not exploited.

1.2   Scope

This policy applies to all students who undertake courses at the institution regardless of the duration of the course. It must be noted, that students who undertake courses where part of their fee is used to pay for examinations must also abide by the refund policies of both the institution as well as the foreign agency such as the National Examination Board of Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
It must be noted that students have the right to, and can voluntarily withdraw from any course being conducted by the institution and obtain either all or part of their financial contribution. However, lack of attendance or course abandonment does not constitute course withdrawal. Students who do not indicated course and/or examination withdrawal are subject to full payment of tuition and any other fees. As such, the onus is upon the student to indicate if they wish to voluntarily withdraw from any programme.
